Located near the Giles Meteorological Weather Station on the Great Central Road, Warakurna has a history of producing dynamic, colourful art that speaks to each artist’s individuality and strong cultural connections. Warakurna Artists is also renowned for its history paintings of post-contact life, with the lead artist in this genre being Eunice Yunurupa Porter.

In addition to running its own studio, Warakurna Artists runs outreach programs to the Wanarn Aged Care facility and it supports the artists at Docker River and at the very remote Kayili Artists in Patjarr to the north. Kaylili Artists merged its operations with Warakurna Artists in 2015.
