Indigenous art to collect now

Discover the extraordinary and fascinating depth of the world’s oldest living culture through art!

Experience the amazing creations by artists living in remote Indigenous owned and operated art centres, reflecting their traditional and contemporary beliefs and experiences. Artworks can depict an artist’s Tjukurrpa (Dreaming) story, their connection to traditional Country, scenes from everyday life, or historical events. Artistic styles can range from traditional to abstract contemporary to figurative.

Regardless of the style, every piece is a contemporary expression informed by over 50,000 years of continuous cultural heritage. Most traditional paintings are aerial views of Country, which means they don’t have a specific orientation; hang them as you wish.
